There are a lot of cases about telephone fraud and Internet scam recently. Students are the main victims. The methods are varied and tricky. Here are some common tactics and tips for students to protect yourselves.

Common tactics:

Fake special identities, such as "head teacher", "school leader", "counselor", " classmate", and "fellow-townsman" to defraud students.

Some claims to encounter an "accident", "emergency", and parents, relatives and friends are urgently required to remit money to commit fraud.

Fake "top-up rebate", "rebates for purchasing game equipment", "internal promotions for fans", "express customer service refunds" and other methods, claiming to obtain discounts and profits with little money for fraud.

Some claim that they can help students in the name of "introducing part-time job", "online likes and dividends" and other "non-profit summer camps".

Anti-fraud tips:

Do not believe anyone easily and follow them blindly, especially for strangers. When you encounter problems, you should have a comprehensive understanding and sobering thought. Do not be credulous and believe others because of their blandishments or promises for benefits. Think carefully, and make the right decisions based on that.

The ultimate goal of scammers is to defraud money within a short time. Therefore, for scammers who seem to be affectionate and loyal to you, if they ask you for money, you must not be deceived by the superficial feelings. Do not follow your feelings blindly. You must learn to listen, to observe, to watch, to distinguish, and analyze the problem carefully. If you think that one’s financial requirements are unrealistic or beyond common sense, you should promptly report to the teacher or the security department to avoid unwarranted losses.

For the windfall benefits, especially the promised benefits from people we do not know very well, we must have a legal consciousness and learn to make rational judgments, investigations and analysis There is no such thing as a free lunch.  Think before you act!
